Autumn Rain

Well my headache has decided to keep on sticking with me! MEH!!!

Right now i’m waiting for david to get home. We are going to have my famous “The Soup” and well it is a perfect day for it, with this cold nasty wet weather we are having! I can’t say I wouldn’t mind eating some arby’s or something like that but.. yeah..every now and then I guess I should make stuff at home lol.

I need to get mom to come up and take me to the store ASAP. I do not even KNOW the last time we went to the store..I know it was during a super double or triple at harris teeter and it was a long time ago….I am low on about everything you can imagine! Meats, Snacks..Canned goods.. It would probably be easier to tell you what i have, instead of what I need!

Sam scratched david in the face this morning, and I hope it has gotten better since then. I didn’t see it, I just knew it happened. I guess thats what happens when you roughhouse with a scrappy cat!

I don’t have ANY plans for this evening…basically cuddling up on the couch watching tv.. might take a bubble bath.. sounds good to me!

I have written before about the only thing I can play as far as an instrument, is a little bit of recorder and tiny bit of keyboard/piano. Think hot cross buns, and mary had a little lamb if you will, lol Actually, the sad thing is there for awhile I sort of knew some christmas songs on the recorder, because I took an elementary education music class, and we went to a hospital and did a christmas concert! That was so fun!

Music doesn’t seem to run in my family, but I can remember that my dad used to play the guitar when I was a little girl a little bit. I never had the knack to learn guitar myself though. Heck, I cannot barely play the freaking guitar in guitar hero lol.

Oddly enough, even though david and I have been married for 5 years coming up in June we have never been on the same car insurance plan. I don’t know if it’s technically supposed to be that way, but his insurance company and mine both know that we are married and whatnot…

Anyways, My insurance is flipping astronomical even though I have never been in a wreck or gotten a ticket..and my car is a 1989 toyota camry… yeah…and I pay DOUBLE of what david pays. He’s on his mom’s insurance still, they have been in wrecks and both have tickets out the wazoo!

His mom just added his brother on, so things are probably about to get interesting. His mom barley makes their rent money..and now heres some more charges..other than the fact that she also has to start paying his parole too!

I figure david and I will end up having to hunt for insurance together. should be a blast! I guess we are lucky that we don’t have to look for something like an rv insurance quote!

So when you wake up with nausea and a headache, I don’t suppose there’s too much else that can go wrong with your day! I was hoping by the time I actually got up that it would be gone, but no such luck   Advil won’t even shake it I will prob be heading back to bed pretty soon.

The rainy weather we are having is not helping out either! that just makes me want to go back to bed even more! I have a few things online to do, including 2 posts that have to be done today..it just looks like they will be getting done this evening instead of early in the day like normal…

Weekend was weird because David worked on Friday..it had been so long since he worked on a friday!  We didn’t do anything on Saturday except go to walmart.. the weather was so rainy and icky!  Yesterday we went to my mom and dads for lunch..

We filed taxes yesterday as well. E-filed both federal and state this time around (my printer is out of ink, and we didn’t feel like fooling with buying any so we just went ahead and did it electronically) We are getting back a pretty good hunk of money, but I know it won’t last no time.. it never does…

David is wanting to go back to Tennessee..which is fine and dandy I suppose..but I don’t travel well as you all know …plus I wonder if we couldn’t find something more practical to spend money on? meh … I guess we’ll have to see…

I would write more but it’s advil and naptime for this gal..catch ya later gators.

David and I were having a random conversation on the way to my moms the other day about classes I have took and not liked over the years. To hear me talk you would think that I didn’t ever like a class I ever took lol. I guess it’s because I like to rant over the stupid ones instead of praising the good ones? I am not exactly sure! Is anyone else like this?

I can remember as far back as elementary school I always hated GYM (PE whatever you want to call it) and Math. I didn’t really hate PE so much back that far except when we got older and started doing stuff like softball and basketball. I never could get a ball through that blasted hoop!  I don’t even think an adjustable backboard or anything would have helped unskilled little shorty me!

Over the years I still hated Math and Gym (Thankfully after 9th grade I never had to take it again!)Even though I had to take Yoga later on and even an elementary pe teaching class they were not so bad.

Then I evolved and s tarted getting crazy weird teachers that really just spiced up my life..most of them came into play when I got to college.

Here are some of my top teacher/class stories

I had a crazy lady for folklore (would have been an awesome class if she would have TAUGHT instead of taking attendance and repeating herself EVERY DAY)

A geology teacher who asured me I had ALMOST an A  when in fact I had a D!

an art appreciation teacher who was alright, but used to send me to make copies of the tests with the answer keys included in the stacks of paper! also, i asked him one time how many days I missed and he said 1! I had probably missed 6+ lol

an health teacher with a bad attitude. well, it wasn’t my fault I had taken the exact class before and it wouldn’t transfer. He had this thing for no snacks in his class. I had been in classes since 8 a/m it was at 3 in the afternoon. I brought chick fil a to class EVERY day and after I told him i was eating from the food groups the first time he never said nothing to me ever again. This was one of my favorite classes to get someone to come pick me up so I could leave early!

drunk business math dude. No seriously he came to class drunk a lot lol he used to stumble and stuff. Another one of those classes I used to sneak out of early, and i’m sure he didn’t know!

mean butt elementary pe teacher:class was at 8 a/m. one morning rebecca (best friend at the time) get off the bus,i’m on the phone with my boyfriend at the time, Tim. It’s about 7:50ish..we walk in and the teacher tells us we are LATE. I said to tim, This dumbass says i’m late what time is it? tim tells me 7:57. Teacher wasn’t going to count me for the day and tim told me to leave. which i would have but we were reviewing for the first test.

Drama teacher who made me cry: this one I can’t remember the particulars of right off top of my head. I just know he said a whole bunch of stuff about how I was never going to amount to a good teacher or something like that. I know I started wailing my eyes out and tim was picking me up that day from class, and when I was in the bathroom tim had a TALK with him and well, he never picked on me again!

there are more ..but those are some of my favorites!I am serious when I tell you that I used to take coloring books/crayons and markers to most of these classes lol. Surprisingly enough I always made high b’s and a’s and an occassional C for the most part. Don’t ask me how?

When you lay awake most of the night your mind wonders to places it probably shouldn’t. Or at least mine does . I think of crazyt hings that really don’t have anything to do with anything, things I could be doing if it were a more decent hour and on and on. It sucks. Lately I have been doing better with going to sleep, but last night david went to bed instead of giving me a massage and well..I had hours of fun just staring at the walls.

I was almost asleep at one point when I swear I heard david’s phone bing..which he says it didn’t..mine was on silent so apparently I am starting to hear phantom iphone bings? Oy! I finally went to sleep and don’t you just know I woke up around 4 and haven’t been back to sleep!

I got a TON accomplished yesterday for some reason. I have NO CLUE how. I managed to totally get my closet cleaned UP. Granted things may need cleaned out and reorganized but..at least you can see my floor for the  first time in MONTHS!! I also managed to clean my dresser up on top a bit, change sheets, wash & dry several loads of clothes, clean in the bathroom a bit, take trash up to the road,make dinner, shave and even clean a little bit in my closet under the stairs!

Today I am going to try to chill for the most part and hopefully at some point take a nap. the only thing I really need to do is wash another load of clothes/wash dishes/clean sam’s box and vacuum the living room rug.

We were planning to go eat at the bar (seriously …only eat..they have AWESOME home cooked type food) but david’s check has yet to go in, so we are in a pickle like heck as usual. seriously I guess if i didn’t blog about money issues, sleeping issues and cleaning well..it wouldn’t be me would it ? lol.

On Facebook this morning…I innocently conveyed that I don’t really “CARE” about MLK day, and I got someone in a twist in less than 10 minutes which I guess I should have saw coming. I didn’t say it because he’s “black” as someone tried to insinuate..and read between the lines for things that weren’t even there!

My GGG grandfather had slaves..and well do some figuring there… so guess who is in fact part african american? *raises hand*(have you ever saw my hair when I don’t straighten it?) yeah.

The reason that I said that I don’t care for it is simply because I feel there are other great people from history that have made great contributions, but guess what? they don’t have their own DAY. Yeah. Goodness forbid I have a opinion diff. from the norm and i actually choose to share it for once lol.

Anyways. I am pretty much having a chill day with sam. We already got a load of clothes going and the dishes washed. I prob be watching Days here in a sec..prob clean up sam’s room and nap!

Hello There!

Today is a day where i’m trying to get 5 million things done at one time, since it’s my last day to myself until monday!

Which, I did not realize was a holiday (as in banks/post offices closed) which pushes david’s check from being received on Tuesday to Wednesday. Of course, I didn’t realize this BEFORE hand, but our power bill is actually due on SUNDAY (which I realized, I figured meh,paying it on tuesday won’t be too bad , since it is due on a weekend day…

My only hope is that they are closed on monday as well (city office? maybe?) and maybe it will all pan out I could just smack david for buying freaking concert tickets instead of paying this bill! (and you really don’t want me going there either..)

Right now thankfully the only thing I really HAVE to do is vacuum the living room rug and start some laundry at some point. Dinner is going to be sloppy joes…so that’s gonna be relatively simple..just got to get some buns!

I am the moving queen! Seriously let’s see if I can remember all the times that I have moved!

When I was 4 we moved from Virginia to North Carolina, which of course was the biggest move that I have ever experienced! We left tons of family, and I even had to leave my cat Tom behind! We lived right beside my grandparents and they took care of him until he died about a year or so later

We are lucky that we only had 2 cars to move! Back then we wouldn’t have been able to go to a site like cartransportquotes.com  which is a site that is available to help you with Car Shipping Rates! (Yeah, I was around before the internet, how crazy is that?)

When I was in 9th grade we moved about 15 minutes down the road to where my parents live now. In 2005 I Moved out on my own and went to Appalachian State…I had to move again when I didn’t get along with my roomies, and the I had to move home for 2 weeks in the summer, and then move back! (Yeah…those were some fun times!)

When I moved back the last time i pretty well stayed put until I moved back home in Summer 2006…Then I ended up getting married and moving AGAIN in the Summer of 2007! In 2009, David and I moved in with my parents for a while,because his job was so uncertain. We moved AGAIN in January of 2010 and AGAIN in Sept of 2010!

At this point , unless something totally remarkable comes along I plan to stay put for a while!
